My baby is 1!!!

How did this happen? Where has the time gone? Is he really one already? I can't believe my sweet little Luke is growing up. He turned one on February 23. I took him in to his 1 year check up and he is a big boy. I guess when you start out at 10 pounds it's not shocking that he's huge. It's shocking with such petite parents:) that he would be so big. He is almost 32 in. long (97th percentile), 251/2 lbs.(85th percentile), and his head is in the 75th percentile. I thought for sure his noggin was bigger than that. He has a big head(he takes after his dad) Maybe it looks bigger because he has no hair yet. He has like nine teeth with 3 more coming in. He really has been such a sweet little guy. He has a really cute personality and loves to make us laugh. We love having him in our family and he has been a joy to have.

I am pretty sure he is drunk on frosting in this picture.
I don't know if you can tell but there is cake and frosting all over my floor and windows. He was flinging it all over the place.
Getting cleaned up so he can open presents. Even after his bath there was a greasy frosting residue all over him.

I am not sure who like the toys more. Kyle was present envious. His birthday is next month so he doesn't have to wait long.

Mike and Ike's or Lamanites????

So my mom always hassles me because I never write down the funny things that my kids say, so I am posting this really for my sake but hopefully you guys will think it is funny too. We were at the mall today with Jamie and Mackenzie and I got Kyle a handful of Mike and Ike's out of the 25 cent machine. He asked me what they were called so I told him. When Jamie came back and saw him eating candy she asked him what kind he was eating. He said I am eating Lamanites. I asked him what he said just so I knew I heard him right and he said Mom I am eating Lamanites, I laughed and said you mean Mike and Ike's, then he was embarrassed and said oh yeah. It was pretty cute.

Tumbleweeds and an old lady?!?!?!

Who would have thougth that this...and this....(not the real old lady)
could do this.....?

So yesterday I was driving along with three of my kids and my niece and my sister was following me with Bekah. I am just driving along minding my own business in the fast lane when all of a sudden the car in front of me comes to a complete STOP in the FAST LANE!!!!! So of course in my big beast of a car I did not slow down in time, and I rammed the little old lady in her Honda Accord. Everyone was fine, but there were four kids who were FREAKING oI rut. I knew it was an old lady because I couldn't see her over the seat. As I rushed to make sure she was ok, she just kept saying sorry I didn't know what to do. I was trying to be really nice but what I wanted to do was scream that you came to a complete stop for a WEED???????? At the end of all this as my trasmission fluid is leaking all over the place and the bumper is about to pop my $300 tire and I am talking to the cop who I am sure finds the tumbleweed incident very amusing and waiting for the tow truck I do realize that this could have turned out a lot worse and I am grateful that all my little passengers in the back all ok and in the end the final outcome is just going to be a big headache and for that I am grateful.

Cruisin to Cabo

Last week Rob and I went on a cruise to Cabo. We had so much fun. This was our first real vacation in a really long time. Now that Luke is almost a year and weaned it was a great time to go. Thanks to mom and dad and Dave and Jamie for helping with the kids. We had a great time.

Anyone who knows Rob well knows that he is a fountain of random knowledge so this is his ship on a stick trophy for winning a trivia game. The kids were really impressed.

On our way into Cabo. It was so beautiful.
On the ferry over to Cabo.
Our ship the Elation
So this guy was trying to sell us a water tour around Cabo and the bottom of his sign said LDS specials so we talked to him for awhile and Adolfo ended up talking us on our own personal tour. We hopped on the city bus had YUMMY street tacos and saw the church building in Cabo. He is serving as the YM pres. in his branch. He was such a great guy. We had a great time with him.
Us in front of the church. I couldn't believe how small it was. The building on the right was the chapel then on the left was all the classrooms with the basketball court outside in front of the building.
On the water taxi over to Lover's Beach. Look how beautiful the water is. This is where the Pacific ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. The day was perfect. It was about 85 degrees and the water was about 72 degrees.
